Sabang Port and Beyond

Sabang Port is like the parking lot the motorized boats going to the Subterranean River. These boats are really colorful and they are really fast . Even if the seas are very rough and unforgiving, these boats just glide all the way...

This photo shows how rough the seas back then. Huge waves just kept on coming due to continuous rain and wind. My life vest is tightly tucked onto my chest but the worries are still there since my camera is not water protected. I did not used my dry bag.Instead i just brought along my Lowepro sling bag... Deep inside im scared for my gear but not for my own good....kinda weird huh.

Huge waves smashed our boats but still managed to push through. Love this shot of one of the boats...

This guy is busy preparing his boat for another jouney. I noticed that the boats are similar in color. They only distinguish from the markings but generally their colors are quite the same.

Rough seas is no match with the fierce look of our boats captain. I guess to him, these waves are nothing. With his full confidence painted on his face, im sure our trip will be just fine...

A photo of the Sabang Port where guests write their names on the log book for registration. Good move that we are early since people are starting to fill the place up....

Aica is still a little sleepy. The hotel's cold air conditioning is really relaxing on which and gave us a very relaxing sleep... you can actually see it on aica's face who i guess is still a little sleepy...

Jay, Xandi and Aica waiting for our boat to arrive...

We departed at the pier with slight rain showers. Typhoon Mina just passed by and strong winds are still trailing her. Leaving timely gust of winds and unstable ocean behavior. I had an assignment before on minimalism and played with it on this photo.

A lot of strong hands are needed to hold on to the boat while the guests are climbing aboard. Saw this two guys having a firm grip onto our boat. Love this shot..

Sabang Port is really clean, very organized, and its packed with Coast Guard with Glocks and M16's are tucked safely on their holsters. Palawan is one of many places here in our country that has a lot of tourists, mostly foreigners and they should be well protected and ensuring them with much needed peace of mind. ..
