Super Headz Fat Lens

Kanika's package just arrived and to my surprise, she just bought a new camera! Its the Superheads Fat Lens! Its a thing of beauty I tell you.

I like the texture of the camera. It has this ., silicone feel once you hold it. I also love the rich black color.

I dont know how good this camera will perform. But im sure its gonna be fun shooting with it.

The Red Wall

We have this dark red wall in our office that caught my attention. Since our ceilings are white, if i point my speedlight straight on top, the light will just bounce from top all the way to the background. Creating a gradient-like effect on the subject's background.

I tried shooting with my crazy officemates and got amazed with the results. Instant studio-like background right at the heart of our office.

I noticed that i have to move back a little in order to get a better shot. If i come a little closer, the background will be brighter. But when you stepback a little, the back has this bold, deep red color

Officemates are flocking in and they love the effect of the photos. Its an instant photobooth!

Off course our very daring CSR / Make-up artist shows her curves

pose for the camera! :)

Hero and Donna. Hero claimed theyr like very close sister.. hehe

Edu suddenly came flashing in as i was framing the girls.

Fun Weekend at Clark

It was a great weekend with my balikbayan brother, kuya bam along with his family at Fontana Leisure Park in Clark, Pampanga. Its a double celebration since its my tita rosel's birthday as well. Ate Ley's parents, brother's and sisters along with their families were there to celebrate also. Ate Imee and the kids, Joy and abby were there to celebrate the occasion as well. I was so happy coz my brother gave me a new lens for my camera. Its his old Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5 lens. This is one of the first photos i took using the lens.

The experience at Fontana is really memorable. My brother rented one of the Villas which is running on air-con for 24 hours! Perfect for this scorching heat! I was actually nervous driving to Fontana with the intense heat since our car has a history of overheating and damn i saw again the gauge cranking up. Good thing we arrived at clark safe and sound. This photo is taken on top of the bridge of the lazy river at one of the Waterparks inside Fontana.

This is a photo of my nephews and my brother. They are headed the waterparks. I asked them to pose for a second for a picture. They didnt only posed, they jumped! All of them are excited and all ready to swim!

After our stay to Fontana, we were supposed to go Karting. Unfortunately there was an event going on inside the tracks and the whole place was reserved for it. The kids were kinda depressed but its ok since the heat that time was really scorching. We just went to Nayong Pilipino and took pictures of the place and even rode the boat at the man made lake. Well, they did. Me and Abby just stayed up in the bridge and enjoyed the view, and the shade.

This is a replica of the famous Barasoin church. Love the rustic attempt to replicate the old church. Abby and I took photos of the wonderful place. I think we just got dehydrated because the weather that time was really hot. Intense!

You can view more pictures at my multiply site. thanks :)

Corporate Fridays

Edu and Nikos wearing something corporate today. I thought they were joking about it until i got in the office with their long sleeves and neckties.

What a nice way to take shots of them coz this happens once in a blue moon. Posed them right beside the window. I just love the natural light.

Went down and asked them to pose for the camera with their respectful looking attire that even security guards greet them like congressmen.

Nikos poses as well. He was the first one i saw wearing a tie and i was really shocked that they were dead serious with the corporate thing. Should have dressed as well.

Nat Geo Run 2011

Its the NatGeo run in full swing! A lot of people participated with the event and until now., im still reminsicin with the yellow colors of the runners. I actually love the gray jersey by the 10K runners.

5 minutes before gunstart. Abby managed to take a photo.Proud of her for finishing the run. Its a good run although wer 3 minutes late than our last run at Unilab.

Posing at the finish line. :) We already changed our shirts before picture taking. We left the camera inside the car since running with a camera along is kinda hard. But some people do run with their dslr's along! adik lang.

took a photo of abby with the back drop of the buildings at the fort. I just love the wide angle view of the LX3.

After all the picture taking and breakfast at Jollibee, we went to the ever famous Mercato Centrale at 32nd street. Its a huge tent filled with food, food and more food! You can buy unusual food choices like these really moist cupcakes, monster shubligs, snow cones and a lot more!

theres a taste test everywhere you go. We tried this bagoong with honey paste and its really good! Its very ingenious actually. Bagoong on a puree' mixed with honey.

and these garlic sticks are really great as well. Never had one before and abby immediately bought a bag since she really likes it too..

I had a great time yesterday. The run is really nice. The weather is really good. What an amazing day. Really had fun. =)

Going to Work

8am. Im on my way to work. After yesterday's shoot, i went straight home. Bringing along the camera with me. Bringing along an expensive camera that is not mine kinda freaks me out a little. But then again, photography is breaking all barriers. A force to be reckoned with. Still shooting at will but with caution.

Im always amazed with lines. Everytime I walk by these stairs at the mrt station, i alaways wish i have a camera with me. Fascinates me with no reason. Cropped this one out. Made it slimmer. Making it more interesting.

Now this is my favorite sight every morning. Those monster girders and shafts showing those leading lines. This shot was really quick coz its a crowded area and shooting at this place is prohibited. (Guards with high powered rifles are always on standby God knows what are they trying to protect).

Just everyday scenes that fascinates me. It may be nothing to you but a thing of beauty to me...

Office Portraits

I wanted to test out the new Yongnuo wireless trigger for the SB-600 and luckily i have my models who volunteered for my shoot. :) The venue is beside the elevator door just along the hallway of our office.

This is Renz. He's one of our graphic's designer. I placed the strobe front right of the model and set it up on 1/16 with a stoffen flash diffuser.

Liyo on the other hand is on his way to the comfort room when we barged him over and asked him to pose. Without further ado, he posed for us and gave him an instant portrait.

Of course, Ensogo's very own, Ms. Aki who stood with such beauty.

Love the new trigger and the flash and of course the Nikon D7000. This camera is a thing of beauty. Im off now on a photoshoot and im using the camera for the 1st time for a merchant shoot. I also brought along my 50mm, my shutter release cable and the stoffen diffuser just in case. Wish me luck!

1st Photo by D7K

This is my 1st descent shot using the Nikon D7000 that I had just bought earlier at Henry's Professional at Glorietta 5. The camera is more like my camera but on steroids! Its really nice. Focus points are enormous. And the burst mode is overwhelming! (6 frames per second).

Im just glad we have a new camera. I can use 2 different lenses now with 2 separate bodies. The thing that i noticed about this camera is that, the body is not as smooth as the D90. its kinda rough in texture.. I think its not made with a different material. But all in all., this is a really nice camera and i believe Niko (my D90) and "Enso" will work perfectly fine together.

By the way., my model's name is Nikos, He's our production coordinator and he's my first model for ensogo's new camera. I also used the new Nikon SB600 and the Yongnuo wireless flash trigger.

Moments at Mr.Kabab

After jogging at UP, we were so starved that we need to help ourselves replenish our hunger. We went to Mr. Kabab at Techno Hub. Along with Rits and Ron, Shawarma gave our food miseries to an end.

Had a glimpse of Kanin Club and people are starting to pour in, waiting in lines just to get a table. Cant blame them. Kanin Club is one of the best places to dine at techno hub. Their crispy dinuguan is the best I ever tasted so far.

I just love when Ron is sharing stories. He's really bubbly and entertaining. We almost forgot about our yogurt shakes after all the "juicy" bits of information Ron shared to us. Its a night filled with laughter, excitement and revelations...

As always., abby looks so pretty with her teal blue nails. :)

I ordered the shawarma plate with extra rice. If you havent tried Mr. Kabab's shawarma, well you should give it a visit coz the food here is really nice. Its not that expensive as well and the place is really nice. Dont forget to try their Yogurt shakes. Its really good.

One Fine Sunday with the Olartes

Its Beb Abby's Birthday celebration with her family and we had lunch at Zongs over at Centris. Its really nice having them all together. We ordered our favorites like the shrimp with soft tofu., braised beef, hakaw and more.. I just love dining at Zong's. Their food is great, healthy coz their food is MSG free and the price is reasonable as well.

Family picture of the Olarte Family. Like I said, its really nice having them all together coz it happens once in a while. :)

these mushroom-like structures at Centris never fail to amaze me. I just love the architectural design of this place

After lunch, we went to the Sunday Market.

Took a photo of abs... i just love her smiling and giggling.. =)

Abby and her sister Van, searching for the finest herbs. Good cooking runs along the family and they are meticulous with the ingredients that they use.

Saw this dog along the way and i so want him... this is a cross-breed between a Chow-Chow and a Siberian Husky. His coat is so thick and his body is not that chubby like the usual chow-chows. If only i had 9k that time., i could have brought him home....

I really had a great time.. spending lunch with Tito Ben, Tita Nellie, Van, Neil and of crs Abs. Its really nice having quality time with them. Good times. :)

Good Times at The 4th

Had a great night drinking lastnight. Pao just got promoted and what a way to celebrate his promotion by drinking the night away with the BBFs at Agnes' place at their rooftop! We had a bottle of Jack Daniels and Bacardi 151 and over-flowing beer. Agnes ordered some chicken and Mojo potatoes for pulutan. I really love hanging out at Agnes' rooftop, a.k.a " The 4th" (4th floor), because its windy cool, nice and cozy. Chillin along with good music and great laughs...

Thanks Pao for the Jack! I just love Jack and Coke. We should definitely do this more often. (photo by Ron Ferrer)

And as the day ended, and so as pao. I think he dranked a lot.. thanks pao! Congratulations again!

Busy Day at the Office

Saw everyone very busy at the office and I thought it would be a great time to take a photo of everybody. Too bad i dont have a wider lens for this photo. But then again., this is what it looks like at our office when everybody is on work mode...
