Treats From Thailand

This is so good! Thanks to Boss Ale for his pasalubongs from Thailand. This reminds me of our local snack - "Ampaw" but shaped in a different way. Tastes the same. Both of them are really good. Thanks again to sir Ale!

Dinner at Shakeys

"Lets eat dinner!" , "Saan?".., Hmm "Shakeys! Buffalo wings! " and off we go. Its been a long day at the office. Both me and Abs were so tired and sleepy. Poor abs whose eyes are closed all through out the trip. I know shes hungry, but stress overpowered everythin else. That goes for me as well. Im a bit tired and sleepy and the fact of goin to shakeys kept me awake!

We ordered shakeys' famous buffalo wings. Usually served with Mojo potatoes but we rather have only the chicken. This is much better when you dip it on onion sauce...(i do think its onion sauce., basta yung white dip).

The waitress asked as if we could try their caesar's salad. Abs is religiously keeping her diet so she ordered some leafy salad along with chicken soup. Love the fresh lettuce. Its crispy and very delicious. But the best part of this salad are the bacon bits! Topped with the caesar sauce its definitely a good treat!

When Abby ordered soup, i was tempted to have one as well! I ordered this cream of mushroom soup, which is my personal favorite at shakeys. This is best when still very hot and served before your main meal. It gives you the feeling that you are already full resulting for you to eat less.

Great night. We were busog. Got a cab goin to centris in no time and upon leaving shakeys, we got our ride without waiting for that long. Its another one busog night for me and Abs.

Party at The Craft

We had one heck of a party at The Craft in Bonifacio Global City just downstairs of our office. We got overflowing booze, raffle prices and a ton of laughs! Took 300 + pictures all in all and its quite hard to upload them all. I just made a collage to make my life a lot easier. Good times, great great food., cold hard cash and drinks till we drop! Thanks Ensogo!

My Birthday Dinner @ Gumbo!

Its my birthday! At syempre theres no better way to celebrate it with your special someone! (Naks!). Pumunta kami ni Abs sa "Gumbo" sa may SM North. Grabe ang sarap pala dun! They have these wide choices of sea food dishes that im sure you will surely love. Maganda yung place nila. Talagang todo costume yung mga waiters tsaka mababait yung mga nagseserve even though ngarag na sila ng konti kasi sa dami ng tao. Kung paguusapan ang service nila, POP sila sa akin!

Ang hirap pala pumili ng pagkain lalo na kapag lahat ay mukang masarap! Since this is a special day, nag order si beb ng something special din. "Gusto ko ng RIBS!!!" ang sabi ni abby. Ako naman eh talagang natakam din so sigi lang! Sarap nya sobra! Malasa sya., manamis namis. Pero may napansin kami sa Ribs nila., hindi sya ganun ka lambot. Dapat kasi sa ribs eh konting himay mo lang eh malalaglag na sya sa buto nya. In this case., kailangan ng konting effort. Although ganun yung ribs nila., masarap pa din. Nabaon ko pa nga ito kinabukasan sa opis!

Nahiwagaan kami sa itsura nung seafood rice nila. Sinangag na kanin in butter tapos sinahugan ng tahong, clams, hipon at pusit! Kami kasi ni abs eh medyo may kaadikan kami sa seafood. Nagkakasundo kami dyan. Eto, kanin pa lang eh pwede na! Kumpleto sa sahog, sagana sa sangkap. Panalo talaga! This is a must try at Gumbo.

Adik lang talaga ako sa hipon! Umorder ako ng Buttered Shrimps na talaga namang swabeng-swabe ang lasa! Huli ang linamnam ng hipon na tumatagaktak sa sabaw ng butter! Sarap nito boi! Sinamahan pa nila ng Mashed Potatoes na talaga namang gumanda ang presentation ng dish. Isa to sa mga paborito na kinain namin. Try nyo rin!

Umorder naman si Abs ng crab cake. Medyo kakaiba sa aking panlasa pero masarap sya! Nagulat lang kami sa dami ng sinerve sa amin. Akala namin mga dalawa o tatlo lang ang iseserve pero nung nakita namin., mahigit anim yung nasa plato! Hindi namin naubos kaya inuwi na lang namin para baunin kinabukasan.

Natapos din ang dining experience sa Gumbo. Kung alam nyo lang kung gaano kami kabusog. Eto ang picture ng pinakamamahal kong si abby. Hanggang ngayon., ganda pa din nya...yikee! hehe. Salamat sa kanya at nilibre nya ako. Sabi nya, birthday ko naman daw kaya kailangan masarap naman ang hapunan. SObrang madaming thank you beb. Niregaluhan pa nya ako ng bagong Billabong Rash Guard! Ganda! Gusto ko na nga gamitin sa beach!

Pasensya na nga pala kung medyo dilaw ang aking mga photos. Medyo di maganda ang pagtimpla ko ng white balance kaya naging ganyan. Minsan talaga, wag ka magtiwala sa screen ng DSLR. Akala ko eh ok na yung mga litrato., Nde malabo., at wala masydong blurred. Ganunpaman, kahit bali-baliktarin mo man ang mundo, maganda pa din si Beb!

From Divisoria with Love

Hataw yung buwan kagabi! Pagpasok ko ng bahay nakita ko na agad sya na nakasilip sa mga silhouette ng mga dahon ng mangga. Sabi ko sa sarili ko na mapicturan nga. Kinuha ang camera., nilabas ang tripod at eto na!

Minsan ba kinakausap mo ang buwan? Wirdo nga minsan. Pero tignan mo naman., ginawan pa ito ng kanta ni Bruno Mars! hehe. Nakakamangha nga naman kasi tignan ang buwan. Kahit napakalayo., tanaw pa rin ang kanyang ganda. Alam ko para syang muka ng tao na kailangan dalhin kay Vicky Belo... pero ang ganda at misteryo nya eh minsan nakakamanga...

Potek talaga at dinale pa ako ng malas kagabi. Pauwi na nga lang, na-platan pa! Nung narining ko na parang may tumusok sa gulong ko, nung una di ko pinansin. Sabi ko baka basura lang. Pero nung naririnig ko na parang may bakal na paulit-ulit na kumakalansing habang bumibilis ang takbo ko, teka iba na to. Masilip nga. Ayun! PLAT na nga sya!

Bumaba ako., at sinuri ang damage. Mukang kailangan ko na mag stretching kasi magsisimula na ako magpalit ng gulong. Natanggal ko na yung tatlong lugnuts(security tornilyo para sa gulong na hindi naman kailangan sana pero maporma lang) pero yung isang damuhong lugnut eh ang hirap alisin kasi bilog na yung loob dahil sa pagkaka-loose thread! Buti na lang may tumulong sa akin na jeepney driver para alisin ito.

Natapos ang gabi sa dalawang bote ng beer. Pananggal uhaw sa nakakapagod at magrasang gabi.

Ulan

Wet sunday afternoon. Meron daw kasing bagyo. Shempre., kapag umuulan, nakakatamad lumabas. Nakakabadtrip nga naman mabasa ang paa, maputikan or kapag minalas malas., abutan pa ng sakit. Kaya masarap tumambay sa bahay pag umuulan. Malamig, presko. Swak na swak lalo na kapag may kasamang kape.

Fathers day ngayon. Umalis sila,kumain yata. di ako nakasama. Naiwan kasi ako dahil tinanghali na ako ng gising. Napuyat kasi ako kagabi sa kaka-internet. Ngayon tuloy., na stuck ako bigla sa bahay., wala ako magawa... so nag picture picture na lang...

sabi nga ni wency, "kapag umuulan, bumubuhos ang langit, sayong mga mata... kapag merong unos, ay aagos ang luha ngunit di ka nagiisa... kaibigan" Kapag umuulan masarap maging emo. ewan ko ba., basta masarap lang.. lalo na kung sabayan mo ng kape.

Leo, my officemate, came to me and asked me to go to the pantry and take photos of these lovely cakes from Estrels Bakeshop. The cakes are so delicious at first glance!

Took the liberty of taking pictures using only the kit lens. After some clicks, Leo is already on the prowl and sliced it up! Saw the creamy filling (sorry i forgot to take a photo) oozing down...

Grabbed a plate for myself and also took a slice! Its so creamy and not to sweet. Yun naman yung gusto ko sa cake, sakto lang yung tamis. I dunno where exactly is Estrells. They say its just near ABS-CBN. I think im goin to research on that further coz the cake is really declicious! Thanks Derma Doctor for your lovely and sumptuous surprise!

Yongnuo Flash Triggers

These nifty little gadget brings light in a different manner. This is my Yongnuo RF602RX flash triggers. I use this with along with my SB600. Im planning to buy an additional receiver since im planning to have my SB600 fixed. (Pwede na ako mag 2 light set-up). I hope my SB600 only needs a replacement bulb. Took this photo when I was in World Topps in Valero Street, Makati.

Ordinary and Bored

I was kinda disappointed yesterday since im suppose to go out but due to some unearthly reasons it didn't pushed through. So i just went home. Along with my camera, i took photos of things that seems ordinary. Saw this lovely fern and admired its color. Grabbed my 50mm and used a small aperture making a lovely bokeh out of it.

Saw the lovely cloud formation and also took a snap. It seems very ordinary but sometimes ordinary things are quite beautiful.

As i approach myself home.,saw this flower that our old neighbor has. Sadly they already moved out., making this lovely plant left alone. Probably be dead in a few weeks since no one will water them.... unless someone will.

Sigh.. im just so bored and cant think of a place to go... I just headed home..watched TV (good thing I-witness is playing) and slept..

Rinsing it Off

Lastnight at Metrowalk was fun! I missed hanging out with the BBFs and lastnight was a blast! Kwentuhan over chicharon bulaklak, calamares and overflowing beer!

I was quite tired from the whole shoot and its about time to rinse it off with a cold San Mig Light! Better since your celebrating it with friends who has been gone for quite some time.

Love this chandelier.. giving a very warm cozy ambiance to the place. Metrowalk is actually packed! A lot of people just welcomed the weekend with such open arms. (Actually., may amats na ako nung pinicturan ko to kaya ganyan na lang ang pagka-framing..)

Back at St. Giles

Part 2 of my shoot at St. Giles Hotel in Makati. Although the 1st shoot is already a success for me, we are tasked to have another shoot with the food still intact and fresh (Last time was like chaos since people were starting to pour all over). This time, we have our first dibs on the buffet table.

These chocolate brownies are awesome! They are not too sweet. Its just perfect. I just love the way how they serve it. Simple and artistic! Yummy!

Salad bar is still virgin. Took this shot as soon as the dressing was placed. Those fresh greens are so tempting! Love the mix of colors.

Now this Ube something is really good! It already looks good in the pictures what more if your taste buds have a grasp of it! This is a personal favorite. I tell you., its a must try. sarap sobra.

Fresh fruits are already served. The papayas, pineapples and the watermelon slices are so delicious. Perfect for that hot steamy weather outside.

Because we're on a hurry., i havent tasted this and it will be a mystery to me until my next visit to St. Giles. How i wish i could go back there. Well why not?! We have a deal at Ensogo and its very affordable. I do believe its running now. Thanks to the staff of St. Giles Hotel. Thanks for taking care of us. You guys are the best!

World Tops Experience

It was a surprise shoot (for them) at World Tops at Valero Street in Makati City. The place is really nice. Lighting really makes a huge difference when it comes to interior designing. The place is painted in white making it more spacious., cozy and makes you feel light. Perfect for having your lunch or snack from a hard busy day at the office.

Camille, the owner, asked me what do I want for lunch. I just told her., just give me a dish that you want to be photographed. She gave me a doze of their Amazing Pinakbet! Gawd this dish is so delicious. I never tasted pinakbet like this before. Its a must try I tell you!

She also gave us this yummy tapa which is a crowd favorite. Paired with eggs and mangoes, its absolutely delicious! Kinda weird though coz its "wet-looking" but then again, its really good!

Everytime an order comes out of the kitchen, they asked me to take a photo of the dish. This is their lovely adobo flakes. Looks really delicious!

Now this is their version of Sisig. Grabe ang bango nito! ( smells really good!). I guess anything that comes out of the kitchen looks really good! Thats why a lot of people flock around here coz the food is delicious and its affordable.

Thy also serve these as well. :) Perfect for that long day at the office when you just happen to have a shot of whoever you wanna be... pareng jack.., or pareng jose or si pareng johnny.

John is tempted to order this one! Looks really crunchy and really tasty!

And as for dessert! This mango bravo ice cream is so good i almost forgot my name! Love it!

They have this promo, Karaoke nights., they wanted to have a photo of the beer bucket for their promo as well. You dont know how much i wanted to open one. hehe But im working so., business before pleasure.

Thanks to Camille and Mark and to the staff of World Tops for their warm hospitality. I highly recommend their place and im definitely going back. In behalf of my partner Jan, thank you so much!

Lunch @ St. Giles

This is probably one of the reasons why I love my job so much. Travelling to different places, meeting new people and specially having free food! Our photoshoot at St.Giles Hotel in Makati somehow got re-scheduled but somehow, the management is kindly enough to feed me and my partner Jan. (Good thing Jan is popular!) hehe.

People are starting to pour in as they serve their sumptuous buffet lunch. Even though the shoot was moved., i still managed to take some snaps of the people enjoying their food.

The place is really nice although the air conditioning is insanely cold! As a tip., wear a jacket if ur planning to visit this place. :) Maybe its just raining... Perfect for that hot soup..or even a sip of that hot coffee.

I love the fish fillet so much. I have to go back and grab some more! Note: I didnt had rice that time. I just enjoyed their pesto. :) Pretending to be on a diet!

People at different walks of life come here. Maybe because the price is reasonable enough for everyone to enjoy. Its really nice since you're dining in one of the finest hotels in the metro without breaking a hole in your pocket. Its a good deal!

After that hearty meal., fresh fruits are served at the other table. these watermelons are really delicious! They also have papayas, pineapples and buko pandan.

They also have these.. "kakanin" and its delightfully good! Too bad i did not took a photo of the ube variant. Tastes good as well. Il get another shot of these when i get back there.

My lunch at St. Giles is really awesome. Im looking forward to go back. Visit their buffet and im sure you will feel the same way as well. =)
