Luxent Hotel Buffet

Luxent Hotel is one of the newest hotel along Timog Avenue in Quezon City. I was really excited for this shoot because i heard their food is really delicious. Alvin, one of our Marketing Consultants over at Ensogo said the shoot is good to go and im off and running from our office at Bonifacio Global City to Timog Avenue in QC. Luxent Hotel is in front of Imperial Grand Suites near the rotonda. You can see there a big white hotel. You cant miss it.

One of my favorite dish of all time is the sushi. When they served loads and loads of salmon, my tummy starts to growl like crazy! Im a sucker for sushi and this is probably one of the reason why am i going to buy this deal at Ensogo! I so wanna go back!  Look at that salmon... its just heaven! That thing where they place the sushi looks really good. The lid where the sushi sits on can be lifted...from there you can place some crushed ice to keep the sushi fresh!

the buffet area! dig in guys
On the buffet area, you can see there a wide array of food choices. From vegetables to pasta to fish. They have it there! They also have an area where you can choose different kinds of BBQs and they will grill it right in front of  you. They have Pork, Chicken and even hotdogs! Picture on top shows how nice and tidy the chafing dishes all lined up. If you're really hungry, its a wonderful sight to see!

fish filet
I so love their fish fillet. I had a lot of these on my plate after the photoshoot. There was this guy whose from Jersey and also had a lot of these. He really enjoyed the food! The Cream Dory's  soft white meat  is just fabulous!

sushi boat
Another view of the Sushi boat. I love the way how they positioned the maki rolls. Their color are vibrant and unique. Never saw some blue maki before. If it looks good, what more if you tasted it? I tell you, its delicious. Im not saying it just to market the buffet but im really saying it from the heart. Im saying it again, their food is absolutely delicious!

chef boom

the staff

Chef Boom along with his staff at the kitchen are really nice. I had a chance to take a portrait of chef  boom while cooking. Lovin this photo. The blaze from the pan is just perfect!  This photo took me about 4 takes actually and good thing chef was a sport and he loved the photo so much! Surprisingly, their kitchen is really cold! Its nice and clean. Everything is spic and span!

blue berry tarts are just love
Now time for some dessert! I had my favorite strawberry ice cream and a piece of their blueberry tarts.. gawd its soooooo delicious. I also had a shot of their chocolate mouse which by the way has a nice presentation and very delicious.. its like heaven on a shot glass! I love it! Smoke Out

I never tasted chicken as good as this one from Smoke Out over at Pasig City.. Its so delicious. Smoked Chicken at its finest! Its so good legendary chef and legendary food expert Sandy Daza gave praises to this awesome dish in his column at Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Chicken is so soft and tender. Pre-marinated to its goodness....the skin is insanely delicious! I love it so much. So thankful to taste this one. Surprisingly, their food is top quality inspite of their hole in the wall restaurant. Their chicken is simply one of the best!

delicious cream dory
I also tried their grilled fish wrapped in foil. It has these secret spices then the fish is wrapped in foil. The flavors are somehow trapped inside and aroma is freakingly mind boggling. Smells so good. The cream dory is absolutely delicious. This is one heck of a deal for only 170 pesos!

They are also famous for their Ribs! Next time i will definitely try that. Smoke Out has two branches. One at Orambo near Valle Verde Country Club (near Nipa Hut), and one in Metrowalk. Noah Korean and Japanese Restaurant

Heritage Hotel is one of the premiere hotels along Roxas Boulevard. Their Casino is one of the best in the country. In fact, my aunt won a huge amount of money the last time she went there. Recently they opened a Japanese / Korean restaurant inside the hotel. Welcome to Noah, one of the best Japanese and Korean restaurant this side of Manila.

Noah launched a deal at Ensogo for their Bento meals. I was fortunate to photograph each and everyone of them. Photo on top is their Salmon Bento. Unfortunately i didnt had the chance to taste this one.. but it definitely looks delicious!

tempura bento meal
Now this one is a treat! I just cant resist the good smell of the tempura. Its just my personal favorite. After I took this photo i just said to the manager of the restaurant if its ok to have a break and start to eat this one. He smiled and immediately asked someone to get me a plate and some Iced Tea. This one is so delicious. For only 350 pesos (deal price), your taste buds will definitely thank you.

tongkatsu bento meal
The Tongkatsu Bento looks delicious as well! Its soft and tender and it tastes real good. I also love that pork (looks like humba) sitting in the middle.  I didnt had the chance to ask what it is but it looks really good and tasty.

Big Small Art by Dr. Joel Mendez

I have been a great fan of Art ever since. Actually I am a frustrated painter. I tried to paint before but im not really good at it. But somehow, it helped me with my composition skills when taking photographs. I actually miss painting. Maybe someday i'l do a piece but that only if time permits. With my busy and hectic schedule, adding an extra hobby can be really hard.

I was fortunate enough to photograph masterpieces by these talented young painters. Dr. Joel Mendez has his own line of art pieces and it was showcased at the Manila Art 2012 exhibit over at SMX Convention Center  in SM Mall of Asia. Since Ensogo and Dr. Mendez are business partners, they asked me to take photos of his art collection.

Id like you to meet Jason Cortez with his wonderful creation. His painting is an eye stunner among the visitors of the event. He told me that the lady is his sister. Took a photo of her and then he painted it in this really huge canvas. It took months for this painting to finish. Jason is a soft spoken guy. He told me he wanted to learn more about photography as well. He is no doubt a master in his craft in his young age.

It was also a privilege to meet Aleah Angeles, a very young artist showing her work at the back. Very interesting piece. A stunner as well. At a young age of 24, her talent with the brush is exceptional. Also a soft spoken lady.. She has a great smile actually, but im afraid she doenst want to show it on photo. :)

Also met up with young artist Froilan Calayag with 2 of his works. Interesting pieces as well. Too bad he took off early and didnt had the chance to take a photo of them 3 all together.

Dr. Mendez took a pose as well along with Jason and Aleah.

Dr. Mendez's Big and Small Art Collection is one of the best exhibits at the Manila Art 2012. The pieces are really beautiful and a lot of people are asking questions about the paintings. It was fun taking photos of the paintings.Somehow an art attack switch turned on inside me making me want to make a painting of my own.

This is what I like about my job. I meet a lot of extra-ordinary people. Mingle with them, ask them questions about their insights and views. Its been a stressful day actually but its all worth it. Art somehow runs in my veins.Witnessing these awesome creations is a great experience. I would like to thank Dr. Mendez for his warm hospitality. To Aleah, Jay and Froilan, thank you for your awesome masterpieces. Also to the staff for letting me charge my batteries at the event. Thank you so much. It was fun!

Maya's Delicious BBQs!

Yeah boy! Another food adventure and this time I went to Pioneer Street in Pasig to visit one of the baddest barbecues in town. Welcome to Maya's Delicious Barbecues. Photo on top is my favorite of em all, the isaw manok. It is made of Chicken Intestines. Properly cleaned then marinated overnight with Maya's Secret marinade sauce. This one is really delicious! I posted this photo on my facebook and everybody loved it! Friends and family abroad mouth-watered with this delicious filipino delicacy. My sister in California said she missed this! Another friend of mine said to send some through cargo.. i dunno if hes crazy or something. They just missed this so much.

Barbecues
Of course, Maya serves delicious barbecues. Again, marinated overnight in order for the juice to absorb within the pork. The meat is so tender and soft! Its so addicting actually. One stick aint enough and surely you will ruin your diet coz you will definitely eat a lot of rice with these super delicious bbqs...

"Bilog" or "Isaw Baboy"
Now this one over here is called the "Isaw Bilog" or Pig Intestines. This is also one of my favorites. When cleaned and cooked properly, this Filipino delicacy is a sure fire hit amongst many Filipinos. Dip it  in with vinegar, with lots of onions, garlic and pepper for that added extra hotness and kick. I love it. Writing this makes me really hungry!

"Tenga"
Try also their "Tenga" or pork ears, and some are made from pig cheeks. This one is also delicious. Again pre-marinated to goodness! The juice, the softness of the meat, arghhh., its simply delicious! Love it so much. Just remember, these BBQ's are high in fat and uric acid so eat in moderation ok! hehe.

So there ya go. Visit Maya BBQs im sure you will love their BBQs, Chicken BBQs, isaw manok, isaw baboy, tenga and a whole lot more. For inquiries and reservations, please call Pioneer Center Branch: 5336944, 6641468 or Shaw Boulevard Branch: 5336944, 6641468.
